Health Sciences Program

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the health sciences field represents the largest single industry in the U.S., accounting for more than 14 million jobs across 200 different professional positions. In addition, seven of the 20 fastest growing occupations are health related, generating 3 million new wage and salary jobs between 2006 and 2016. ASU offers three concentrations in health sciences including:  health policy, healthy lifestyles coaching and pre-professional for those interested in medical fields such as dentistry, medicine, osteopathic, physical therapy and pharmacy. There is also a pathway for students with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. 


Health Sciences (Health Policy), BS

The BS in health sciences with a concentration in health policy explores policy implications related to creative, cost-effective and accessible health programs.

Health Sciences (Healthy Lifestyles Coaching), BS

The BS in health sciences with a concentration in healthy lifestyles coaching provides a broad base of coursework in preventive health care and health education.

Health Sciences (Pre-Professional), BS

The BS in health sciences with a pre-professional concentration is grounded in the basic sciences, and prepares students for post-graduate degree programs.

Health Sciences, BAS

The BAS with a concentration in health sciences is an online program designed for students who have earned an AAS from a regionally accredited institution.

Health Sciences, BAS (Online)

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Sciences concentration is an online degree designed to prepare students who have an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree for advanced employment opportunities in the health field or to continue into selected graduate plans of study.
