Health Sciences Program

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the health sciences field represents the largest single industry in the U.S., accounting for more than 14 million jobs across 200 different professional positions. In addition, seven of the 20 fastest growing occupations are health related, generating 3 million new wage and salary jobs between 2006 and 2016. ASU offers three concentrations in health sciences including:  health policy, healthy lifestyles coaching and pre-professional for those interested in medical fields such as dentistry, medicine, osteopathic, physical therapy and pharmacy. There is also a pathway for students with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. 

 

Health Sciences (Health Policy), BS

The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a Health Policy concentration is designed for students interested in the community policy aspects of disease prevention and health promotion and/or seeking admission to graduate programs.

Health Sciences (Healthy Lifestyles Coaching), BS

The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a Healthy Lifestyles Coaching concentration was developed for students seeking immediate employment in the community health education/health promotion field and/or admission to graduate studies.

Health Sciences (Pre-Professional), BS

The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Pre-Professional concentration is designed to prepare students who are planning to attend medical, dental, veterinary, physical therapy, pharmacy, osteopathic and similar professional schools.

Health Sciences, BAS

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Sciences concentration is designed to prepare students who have an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree for advanced employment opportunities in the health field or to continue into selected graduate plans of study.

Health Sciences, BAS (Online)

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Sciences concentration is an online degree designed to prepare students who have an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree for advanced employment opportunities in the health field or to continue into selected graduate plans of study.
